starting my 100 days of Go
Hi!
And a late but Happy 2026.
This year marks the first year of my Bearblog. In December 2024, I remember being stuck and out of hope for the future. AI was the main cause of my anxiety and I couldn't plug myself out of social media, thus ending here on the platform we all love. This was without a question one of the best decisions I've made. Not to start blogging but understanding that I was trapped in the so called technofeudalism that the big platforms have successfully starting to establish.
In 2025 I tried out many things and I completely gave a shot at learning new things as well. I've learned Chess.
I've also picked up the electric guitar. I got in a nu metal band and played in a festival!
I played a CTF in a security event and got 2nd place!
So yes, giving a shot at learning new things have helped me. A lot.
So this year I'm eating my own words and tackling the biggest challenge when it comes to technology - at least for me. Programming. Not because it's easy but because it's hard. The age of AI is surely coming but programmers aren't going anywhere (not yet, at least). One important skill to have in 2026 and the upcoming years is to judge and evaluate the code that Agents and LLMs will generate. I'm thinking of myself as a manager that actually knows how to code and how to not get bullshitted by my engineering team: Claude, Gee(PT) and Compo(ser-1).
So today I've started small with A Tour of Go and I'm already half-way through it. I've looked on forums and everybody seems to have a different path: Learn Go with Tests, Gophercises... The list goes on and on and to not get overwhelmed, I tried to go with the simplest.
I will try (but I can't promise) to write as the journey goes on.
Here's to 100 days and everything else I am going to learn this year.

Cheers and Godspeed! Keep on learning.
