what's coming in the future
By now I have completely given up on the idea of blogging daily. I won't be mentioning anymore on the topic of "how hard it is to blog". Plenty of people saying this on the Discover tab. Moving on.
The year is about to wrap and with it, I have accomplished some milestones:
- I've learned to play Chess.
- I've learned to play the guitar.
- I was in a Nu Metal band (not anymore but this is a long story and someday in the future I will probably blog about what happened)
- I was promoted to a Senior Security Engineer.
- I went to Europe for the first time.
- I went to Chile with my entire family and my spouse's family as well.
So 2025 hasn't ended and is already being held up high in the rank of "best years of my life". A true blessing.
Now it's time to address what's been going on with this place.
I have some major projects for this website although very little time to put into practice due to high demands for my attention span in and outside of working hours. But I will register them here as a mean to make it public commitment.
- I will somehow upload music to some storage solution (S3? Bearblog's proprietary media service?) and embed a music player throughout the blog. I'm little proud of myself but I really love my music taste and I wish to share it with you.
- I have fallen into the "vintage camcorder" trend and I bought a Sony DCR-SR65, a videocorder from 2008. I'm planning to shoot some stuff, edit and post them here. I'm not going to publish it into YouTube because I'm sick and tired of how platforms been dictating what we can and cannot do/upload/express. Fuck every single one of them.
- Somehow I plan to embed a public chat room into the website. Think of it as a cooler Discord or a live version of the scrapbook page that already exists.
- The guestbook is going down. I'm sorry, but it's not been used for the right purposes and I'm getting tons of spam. A shame but it is what it is.
And that's about it.
I hope you enjoyed hanging with me and hopefully we'll see each other soon.
Bye.
